Adrian Hood
Born and raised in the coastal town of Geelong, Australia, Adrian Hood knew from a very young age that he was destined to become a musician. Guided by his mothers’ extensive record collection that ran the gamut from Stevie Wonder to Billy Joel, Adrian learned the technicalities of meticulously crafted songwriting and the subtleties of an inspiring vocal performance.
With no opportunity for a formal music education Adrian had to fight to continue to hone his talent. At the age of 17, Adrian took a chance and relocated to the bigger city of Melbourne to collaborate with fellow musicians and producers. It was in Melbourne where Adrian met the producer Chris ‘TEK’ O’Ryan.
Chris ‘TEK’ O’Ryan later moved to Los Angeles where he founded the record label NewFaze Entertainment with the songwriter and producer Durrell ‘Bishop’ Scott. After producing only one song on Adrian, NewFaze realized Adrians’ amazing talent and immediately signed him and recorded a ten song demo.
After teaming up with the revered management company Mama's Boys Music (Mike Mac, J Hipps), Adrian and NewFaze were flown to New York and after performing for the entire staff of Warner Elektra and Atlantic records, NewFaze and Adrian were rushed over to Sean "Diddy" Combs' studio to meet with him. They performed flawlessly for Diddy and have since signed a major recording deal with him on his label, Bad Boy Entertainment.
Adrian is now in the midst of writing and recording a cutting edge R&B/Pop album that will push boundaries not only in the U.S. but all around the world. Expect a release in 2007.
